ROOTS AND BRANCHES

Mission & Living Practice

Tea & Zen and Meditation Sans Frontières exist to restore dignity, coherence, compassion, and human connection through contemplative presence, relational care, nervous system healing, and embodied awareness.

Our work is rooted in the understanding that healing arises not only through intervention, but through the restoration of safety, attunement, stillness, and compassionate human presence.

Through contemplative teaching, sacred companionship, trauma-informed practices, podcasts, writings, meditations, bedside presence, and freely shared resources, we seek to support individuals navigating suffering, grief, illness, exhaustion, trauma, transition, and the deeper thresholds of human experience.

The work is grounded equally in contemplative wisdom, relational depth, lived experience, and emerging understandings of psychophysiology, nervous system regulation, and human coherence.

Programs & Offerings

Our programs continue to evolve organically in response to human need and include:

  • contemplative teaching and meditation guidance
  • trauma-informed breathwork and nervous system support
  • sacred companionship and deep listening
  • bedside presence and end-of-life care
  • contemplative circles and relational practice
  • podcasts, writings, and meditative transmissions
  • healing-centered educational resources
  • contemplative science and consciousness inquiry
  • freely accessible online offerings shared globally

Each offering is rooted in the same intention:
to help restore connection, coherence, tenderness, and embodied presence within the human experience.

Impact & Reach

Through podcasts, contemplative writings, meditations, direct companionship, and freely shared teachings, this work now reaches thousands of individuals internationally.

The Tea & Zen archive contains more than 1,000 contemplative reflections, audio teachings, meditations, and transmissions exploring healing, consciousness, compassion, trauma integration, stillness, and the restoration of human wholeness.

What continues to emerge is not merely an audience, but a living contemplative community grounded in sincerity, relational depth, and shared inquiry into healing and human transformation.

Governance & Stewardship

Meditation Sans Frontières was founded by Nigel Lott and is supported by a volunteer board committed to integrity, ethical stewardship, transparency, compassion, and service.

The organization operates with the intention that all resources be directed toward the continuation and expansion of contemplative outreach, healing-centered offerings, educational resources, and compassionate care.

Sustaining the Sanctuary

Every contribution helps sustain a living sanctuary of contemplative presence, compassionate outreach, and freely accessible healing-centered resources.

Support allows this work to continue reaching individuals navigating grief, trauma, illness, isolation, transition, and spiritual exhaustion — both locally and around the world.

Contributions may be offered through:

  • one-time donations
  • recurring monthly support
  • donor-advised funds
  • charitable foundations
  • legacy and memorial giving

Each act of support becomes part of a larger field of human care, helping extend presence, dignity, healing, and compassionate companionship where it is most needed.

At the root of all these branches remains a simple intention:

to embody love through presence,
to reduce suffering where possible,
and to help restore the quiet coherence that reconnects human beings to themselves, to one another, and to life itself.
