Grounding: A Sacred Lullaby
A sacred lullaby on returning to the body, the breath, and the quiet safety of what is here.
Lay your weight into the earth now,
let it take what you no longer need to carry.
You do not have to hold the world together.
The ground has always known how to receive you.
Feel the breath move low and slow,
like roots finding their way through dark soil.
There is a rhythm here that does not hurry,
a quiet intelligence that does not strain.
Let your shoulders soften,
let the body remember its place in the whole.
You are not outside of this life—
you are part of its steady unfolding.
Stay where your feet are.
Stay with what your hands can touch, what your eyes can see.
Not everything needs to be known.
Not everything needs to be solved.
And here, in this simple nearness—
breath, body, earth, and space—
there is a quiet shelter that does not collapse,
a safety that does not depend on tomorrow.
Rest into that.
Let it hold you, as it always has.
Lay your weight into the earth now,
let it take what you no longer need to carry.
You do not have to hold the world together.
Feel the breath move low and slow,
like roots finding their way through dark soil.
Nothing is lost here. Nothing is rushing.
Stay where your feet are.
Stay where your hands can touch what is real.
In this moment, you are sheltered.
