Love Notes XLVI
The light within us does not come from another. Sometimes, an encounter simply helps us remember what has always been there. A reflection on teaching, presence, and the quiet miracle of remembrance.
The teacher does not switch on the light within the student. The encounter helps the student recognize the light that was already there.
And perhaps the deepest part of it is that the light belongs to neither the teacher nor the encounter.
The encounter simply creates the conditions in which remembrance becomes possible.
Nothing is given that was not already there.

May the work offered here serve peace, serve healing, serve remembrance, and serve the quiet dignity of being alive. May this sanctuary belong not to one person alone, but to the field of life itself.
And may all who encounter it feel, even for a moment, that nothing is missing and they are not alone.
