MIRRORS
We are mirrors for each other.
If we serve as anything at all, it is as a clear surface for one another—a place where truth can recognize itself. We do not give love to each other so much as reveal the love that was already there. We do not fall into love as something new, but awaken to what has always been present: our shared, eternal nature—our oneness with life itself.
We are also mirrors for the places within us that believe they have become separate from love. Our anger, our fear, our grief—these too arise in the presence we share. Not to be fixed or pushed away, but to be seen. Every love that awakens sheds light into the dark within and calls it forward, not in judgment, but in recognition. This is how healing begins.
We do not place anything into one another or lead each other somewhere else. We simply remain present and steady enough that what is already alive within each of us can come forward and be heard. In this way, we become mirrors—not shaping, not instructing, not persuading—only allowing.
The space we share is not something we create. It is the same quiet space we have always known, beneath words and stories, beneath striving and fear. We recognize it because it feels familiar. We trust it because we have been here before.
If we feel strengthened or clarified, it is not because something has been added, but because something true has been remembered. We stand with one another, not above or ahead, so that each of us may stand more fully in ourselves.
Nothing is given.
Nothing is taken.
Nothing needs to be held together.
What awakens was never asleep.
