The Call of Love

There is a call that does not come from the world. It comes from the deepest place within you. In this meditation, inspired by the spirit of Meher Baba, we rest in the quiet invitation of Love—not something to attain, but something that has never left us.

A meditation inspired by the spirit of Meher BabaSit comfortably.

Allow the body to become still. There is no need to force the mind into silence. Simply let every thought come and go like clouds crossing an open sky. Bring your attention gently into the heart—not the physical heart, but that silent place within where Love has always been waiting.

There is only one true journey. It is not the journey from one place to another, nor the pursuit of success, achievement, or even spiritual attainment. It is the journey from the illusion of separation back into Love. Everything else is secondary. Every joy, every sorrow, every victory, and every loss has quietly served this one purpose.

Pause for a moment and ask yourself, without searching for an answer:

What is it that I truly love?

Not what the mind says it should love. Not what fear clings to. Not what habit pursues. But what has always called you from the deepest part of your being.

Rest there.

Love asks for everything—not because it wishes to take from you, but because nothing less than everything can awaken you. It asks for your pride, your certainty, your grievances, your stories, your identities, even the image you carry of yourself.

One by one, offer them into the fire of Love. Watch them dissolve. Notice that as each one falls away, you do not become less. You become more spacious, more alive, more real.

There comes a moment when you no longer seek to possess Love. Instead, you discover that Love has always possessed you. You are no longer trying to remember God. You realize that God has never forgotten you. You are already being carried. Already being breathed. Already being loved beyond measure.

Let your heart whisper silently:

Beloved, remove from me everything that keeps me from You. Not tomorrow. Not when I am wiser. Not when I feel worthy. Now. Take whatever must be taken. Leave only what is true.

Remain in silence for a while. If thoughts arise, let them pass. If emotions arise, welcome them gently. If tears come, let them come. Love is not disturbed by any of them. Love simply continues to love.

Now allow the boundaries around yourself to soften. The person sitting beside you… the stranger walking the street… the frightened child… the lonely elder… the one you find difficult to forgive… the bird singing outside your window… the stars scattered across the night sky.

One Life. One Heart. One infinite Beloved appearing as countless forms.

There is no one outside this Love.

There never has been.

As this meditation comes to a close, let these words arise—not merely as a prayer, but as a willingness:

May every thought become an expression of Love.

May every word become an offering of Love.

May every action become the movement of Love.

May this life no longer belong to me alone, but to the Beloved who lives in every heart.

Rest now in the silence that remains.

Nothing more is needed.

Love is already here. It has always been here. Before every thought, before every fear, before every longing, Love was present.

And in the end, Love alone is real.

May the work offered here serve peace, serve healing, serve remembrance, and serve the quiet dignity of being alive. May this sanctuary belong not to one person alone, but to the field of life itself.

And may all who encounter it feel, even for a moment, that nothing is missing and they are not alone.
