STARLINGS IN WINTER .....Mary Oliver
Forty years ago, I put down my last drink. I thought recovery would mean leaving the pain behind. Instead, it became a journey through fear, trauma, and ultimately, into a Love that had been waiting for me all along. This is not simply a story about sobriety—it is a story about coming home.
Presence is rarely found in extraordinary moments. More often, it reveals itself in the steam rising from a cup of tea, the glow of a lantern, the quiet turning of a page, or the stillness between two breaths. Presence is HERE.
What does it mean to be strong without becoming hard, and loving without losing yourself? The Warrior’s Heart is a meditation on courage, presence, and sacred resolve—an invitation to discover the quiet strength that remains open, steady, and true in the face of life’s challenges.
Perhaps we are not being asked to become harder. Perhaps we are being asked to become strong enough to remain loving.
