ARROGANCE V HUMILITY

Arrogance masks a deep-rooted fear. Those who display arrogance are usually trying to protect themselves from feelings of inadequacy or insecurity.
Beneath their outward display of confidence lies a fragile sense of self, one that is more vulnerable than it appears. This fear is often driven by unresolved grief or past wounds, where the person feels the need to project strength to hide their emotional pain.
In reality, their arrogance is a defense mechanism, a way to shield their inner vulnerabilities from being exposed.
Humility, on the other hand is the quiet strength that comes from recognizing one's limitations and valuing others' contributions. It’s not about self-deprecation or diminishing one’s worth, but rather about having a balanced sense of self, free from arrogance or pride.
Humility allows us to learn from our mistakes, acknowledge our imperfections, and approach others with empathy and respect. It fosters deeper connections and promotes growth, as it opens the door to self-awareness and genuine collaboration.
True humility is rooted in the understanding that we are all part of something larger than ourselves, and in the end humility guarantees an open heart, and the love found there. Nigel Lott teaandzen.org
